This Victoria Day long weekend, we had the pleasure of rain turned snow, and some dogsitting. We stayed indoors and enjoyed the company of the dogs, high caloric breakfasts, Netflix, and wine.
The dogs were so well behaved. We had a little mishap with Lily, the small, white dog. She pooped all over our floors without any remorse. Once we got past that we were having fun. They warmed us up with so many cuddles that we forgot how cold it was outside. The only time we were out there was when we had to walk them. Sorry, did I say walk them? I meant, be dragged by them.
Underneath all that whipped cream was Chia Seeds and White Chocolate Chip pancakes. Mmmmm.
The one that looks like pizza was a mini breakfast pizza with red pepper, onion, cheese, and egg cracked on top of a thyme and rosemary crust. Double mmmm.
The wine was a Moscato, so it was just super sweet. It was like drinking dessert. Triple mmmmm.
We spent most of our time watching Sherlock. Patrick designed his own Sherlock case which I had the pleasure of solving. Did I solve it? Yes. Did I require some assistance in deductive reasoning? A little.
Overall, we had a rather relaxing weekend. Hopefully we will be blessed with some sun next weekend. The lack of sunshine was rather unusual for us, but we coped. Next weekend’s blog post is going to be a big one! We will be celebrating our one year anniversary. Where? You’ll have to wait and see.
