The past couple of weeks have been a mostly outdoorsy couple of weeks. With the weather being in the high 20’s, friends visiting, and it being poutine week in Calgary, we found ourselves staying out of the house.

My friend, Munny, came to Calgary for work and ended up staying a couple of extra days for some Jennie time, which was super sweet of her! (She is coming back in two weeks!). We went trail hopping. We hiked at Big Hill Springs Provincial Park and Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. Both were very nice. However, the former was much more scenic.

Patrick’s friend, Patrick, was in Calgary for a day helping a friend move so we hung out with the both of them. We went hiking at Barrier Lake where we actually climbed a mountain! 11km of blood, sweat, and tears. Literally. We were sore for 2 days.

For Poutine Week in Calgary (each poutine sold provides a free meal to someone in need), we went to Dragon’s Lair Burger for some pad thai poutine and burger. The poutine was spicy but so so sooooo good. The burger was even better and is even comparable (if not, better) to Burger Legend.

We also went to go see Past Your Bedtime, an improv show. I had gone a week before to see it with Munny and found that it was funnier than the second time I went to go see it with Patrick. It was still enjoyable.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Speak soon,
P&J
